On Thursday, December 9th, Punjab Minister for Housing Malik Asad authorised Project Concept-1 (PC-1) for the development of hybrid economical dwellings on government-owned land in collaboration with private contractors.

The houses will be built in Sialkot and Pattoki, according to reports, and the building cost is 2.275 PKR per square foot. The plan was approved during the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency’s 82nd governing body meeting (PHATA).

Private companies will build hybrid dwellings, which will be completed in three days apiece. During the conference, it was also determined that all construction would follow international design and standards in order to ensure that they would survive.
